As we welcome a new year, we would like to take a moment to thank you for your continued trust and loyalty. Towards the end of last year, we shared encouraging progress on the stabilisation of our operations and the steady rebuilding of confidence in Sizwe Hosmed. We are pleased to reaffirm that this positive momentum continues.
Over the past months, Sizwe Hosmed has made meaningful strides in stabilising operations. We are continuing to engage with the healthcare service providers to reopen access to all hospital networks and pharmacy provider groups.
The good news is that many hospitals have reopened their doors to Sizwe Hosmed members, including all Netcare facilities nationwide, all Life Healthcare facilities nationwide, and selected Lenmed hospitals, including La Verna, Kathu, Lenasia, and Randfontein. Members also continue to enjoy access to Busamed hospitals nationwide, NHN through ARWYP, Careswell Robertson and all Cinix outlets.
Similarly, Sizwe Hosmed members can access medication at all our partner pharmacies, namely, Dischem, Clicks, Medipost and Medirite.
There have been significant developments in strengthening operational efficiency and building greater confidence in our Scheme. We are pleased to announce that our solvency position has shown positive growth from January 2026, with our actuaries estimating it to be in excess of 20% – up from 6% in December 2025.
We are equally encouraged by the stabilisation of claims payments, which has further strengthened our ability to deliver consistent and reliable service to you.
As we begin this new year, Sizwe Hosmed is focused on improving solvency, rebuilding strong provider partnerships, enhancing member service, strengthening governance and accelerating our digital transformation journey.
Most importantly, our commitment to you remains unwavering. We are working hard to ensure that Sizwe Hosmed continues to stabilise and grow into a medical scheme you can depend on — today and into the future. We are still here, and we are here to stay.
