Purpose of the role
To provide executive-level marketing and business development support during curatorship, focusing on improving market confidence, growing membership, and acquiring new business as part of the scheme’s recovery plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Growth Strategy: Develop and execute plans to reach long-term business goals.
- Market Expansion: Research potential clients, markets, and trends to find new opportunities.
- Partnerships & sales: Build strategic relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive the sales pipeline.
- Performance optimisation: Analyse business data to improve efficiency, processes, and ROI.
- Client Management: Create compelling proposals and presentations to attract ideal clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQFL7) in Sales/Business Administration or related fields.
- Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in the field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Sales with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Proven experience in the medical aid industry/ healthcare funding/ insurance, or financial services.
- Experience working in turnaround, curatorship, and/or restructuring environments.
