Purpose of the role:
To provide leadership and strategic direction, innovation, and the management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the Scheme’s strategic and operational risks including fraud, waste, and abuse, and report findings to the Executive committee.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain ERM framework in line with King IV and CMS requirements.
- Identify, assess, monitor and report on strategic, operational, financial and clinical risks affecting the scheme.
- Identify and monitor risks relating to relevant or applicable legislation and CMS directives.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate financial sustainability and solvency related risks.
- Identify, assess and support preventative controls for risks associated with fraud, waste and abuse.
- Drive a strong risk-aware culture across the scheme through training , communication and leadership engagements.
Requirements:
- B degree/ Higher Diploma in Risk Management/ Auditing/ Health Sciences/ Law OR equivalent qualification with NQF Level 7
- Postgraduate Qualification in Risk Management will be an added advantage
- Membership with a Risk Management-related professional body
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Risk Management, Cross-functional Coordination, and Project Management
