Governance
The Scheme is governed by the Board of Trustees, which is supported by five sub-committees. The Board directs the affairs of the Scheme on behalf of the members in accordance with the Medical Schemes Act No. 131 of 1998 and Scheme Rules. It comprises twelve members, nine of whom are elected by the members and three who are appointed by the elected Trustees. Appointed Trustees are selected for specific skills as required by the Scheme Rules.
